November 8, 2009 Update....

Let's begin this 2009-2010 off-season with some overview shots of the theme park & Hurricane Harbor. I shot these on the flight back from southern New Jersey. As you can see in the last photo, the visibility was extremely poor, and even with software enhancement the photo shows much haze. I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed shooting them, and as the season progresses with YOU providing me input as to what you'd like to see, I will shoot more detailed photos of particular areas of Great Adventure....

Overview of Great Adventure, looking Northeast with Route 537 on the left:

Overview looking Northeast (The lakes are not really that blue; Photoshop does this):

Same as above, except that Hurricane Harbor is now included:

Parking lot and park entrance looking North:

You should've seen how this looked as I was shooting it, but I think it cleaned up nicely:

Hurricane Harbor water park, which will soon have a "Tornado" attraction added for the 2010 season:

Same as above, though with less parking lots shown:

Here is the distant shot I was mentioning, and this is after running it through Photoshop. Still though, it made for some interesting shadows and lighting effects:

I hope you've enjoyed the flight, and stay tuned for many more updates that I have planned for this 2009-2010 Off-Season.

Please remember, no one is paying me for these, so if the weather is crummy or too windy or too hazy and such, I will not do a "Fly-Over". I am a fair weather pilot, and these park fly-overs are usually at the beginning or end of a day of flying for me, and usually on the weekends. Don't get me wrong, I love doing the fly-overs since Great Adventure holds a special place in my heart having grown up in Jackson and attended regularly, but as we all know, Safety First !!!

Welcome Great Adventure "Aerial Photo" Enthusiasts to this October 25, 2009 Update...

An overview of the east end of the park, with the safari in the background (looking south):

The parking lot was rather packed, though very few buses:

Notice that the Parachute Tower has a NEW paint job, complete with the words Six Flags:

And finally, Kingda Ka, with a backdrop of Fall colors:

I hope you've enjoyed the flight, and stay tuned for my next UPDATE !!!
